Shrewsbury Cops Crack Down on Alleged Car Burglars

Five people have been arrested after a recent rise in car break-ins reported.

In the past two weeks officers from the Shrewsbury Police Department have arrested five people in relation to car beak-ins at the Shrewsbury Green and Shrewsbury Commons apartments.

Last week two teens were arrested and a third escaped when officers reportedly caught them breaking into into vehicles at the Shrewsbury Green Apartments. 

In that case Christopher Charleton, 18, of 61 Hamilton Rd., Northborough, and Jullian Coleman, 19, of 29 Worthington Ave., were arrested and charged with larceny over $250 and nighttime breaking and entering into a motor vehicle with intent to commit a felony.

Also, the Worcester Telegram reports that three more people were arrested after allegedly breaking into cars, this time at the Shrewsbury Commons Apartments.

Russell J. Laporte, 19, of 1271 Millbury St., Worcester, and Zachary N. Forsberg, 22, and Kristal L. Giannette-Condie, 19, both of 16 Church St., Apt. B, Grafton, are each charged with breaking and entering a vehicle/boat in the nighttime for a felony (three counts), and larceny over $250.
