Lorette graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and received her master's in education from the University of Massachusetts in Boston. A certified school psychologist, she now writes for Patch, manages her own personal blog and attends graduate classes in journalism. 

A Shrewsbury resident for the past five years, Lorette lives locally with her husband and two daughters.
