ReplyMy guess is that they want to limit the number of visitors to the school during school hours.

ReplyThere's a mandatory fine/prison term for assaulting a member of a Metro North train crew or a bus driver...there should be similar consequences for assaulting a nurse or doctor.

ReplyI've spoken to people who have worked in the hospital for several years. The hospital will call a Code Pink over the building's PA if an alarm is tripped or if someone is spotted trying to remove a baby from the maternity floor. As I understand it protocol is to block all exits on every floor until the situation is resolved. Of the people I've talked to, not one of them can recall a Code Pink being called until this point. It's rare. Why? Because most people listen to the rules. You can't disregard the rule simply because you don't agree with it.
It's not about politics or Nationality, it's about common sense.

ReplyFlip this around for a moment. Someone is seen with a newborn going down the stairs and the nurses say, ok go ahead. Mr. Kennedy would be awfully mad at said nurses for not stopping that man from abducting his baby, don't you think? They were just doing their job.

ReplyWe'll remember that when someone kidnaps your baby from the hospital Rebecca...'sorry, we just let them go.' Harsh? Maybe...

ReplyI'm not worried about the bill, I just want to see the look on his face when he has to have the good nurses and PCAs at NWH feed and bathe him...

ReplyIt should be interesting to see what happens if he gets hurt or sick in the near future and has to go the closest hospital...

My son is in the orchestra and Symphonetta at Fox Lane MIddle School. When recent cuts in the music program were announced he was devastated. He was told that FMLS was cutting their entire orchestra program next year.
While some students may be able to afford private lessons, I recently heard that a prominent local teacher recently raised their rates in anticipation of a flood of new students.
I have no grudge against the sports, theater, art or academic programs in the school system as I think they are all top notch. Deciding what gets cut must be a very hard decision for the school board. Hopefully they'll listen to the students and the parents of students on the issues regarding the music department.
