No Fines at the Library to Benefit WWI Memorial

In lieu of paying your fines, those who owe are asked to donate.

Submitted by George C. Brown, assistant library director, head of adult services, Shrewsbury Public Library The Shrewsbury Public Library is now holding an amnesty period throughout the month of November to benefit the World War I Memorial Project. During this time, no new fines will be charged for late items. Furthermore, all who come into the Library during that period can have any older fines still on their card wiped out. Not included in this amnesty, however, are charges for replacement of lost or damaged library materials. In lieu of fines, library users are encouraged to make voluntary contributions to benefit the World War I Memorial Project. Checks can be made to “Victor Quaranta Post.
