Shrewsbury Man Shot by Friend During NYE 'Game'

A Webster man was arraigned on Wednesday for shooting his friend.

A 24-year-old Shrewsbury man was in serious condition and is now recovering at UMass after his friend shot him during a "game" on New Year's Eve, the Worcester Telegram and Gazette reported. Daniel G. Grenon of Webster was arraigned on Wednesday on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, six counts of improperly storing a firearm and improper storage of ammunition. The shooting occurred after a "game" between Grenon and his best friend about whether a knife or gun could be drawn quicker, said the Telegram.
