Man Charged With 'Visciously' Beating Mother is Arraigned
A Shrewsbury man who was charged for beating his mother into unconsciousness was arraigned on Friday.
A Shrewsbury man charged with "visciously" beating his 83-year-old mother was held on $100,000 at his arraignment on Friday in Worcester Superior Court, reported the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. Sean C. Connolly, 44, of 30 Cross St., Shrewsbury was charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 with injury and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife) in November. Connelly pleaded not guilty, according to the Telegram, on the charges of armed assault with intent to murder a victim 60 or older, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.
