Restaurant News: Breakfast Beer, BBQ and Burgers

We post a roundup of restaurant openings and closings in the area.

Have you noticed a new restaurant while driving around the MetroWest area recently? We know you don't just stay in town when you want to eat out so here is a round-up of restaurant news around the area. Milford Selectmen Roll Back Hours at Scioli's, and impose temporary alcohol license suspension. Milford Selectmen ordered a six-month rollback on alcohol serving hours for Scioli's Pizza Bar. The rollback on serving hours, to 11 p.m. daily, follows a court decision that affirmed the town's decision to curtail alcohol sales at the bar and restaurant. Selectmen voted to approve the hours rollback after a hearing in which police and customers described a fight in the parking lot that seriously injured two customers.  In a related action, …

Thanks for your message. The space will be vacant for approximately one year while the new owner, Salvatore Capital, finds a new tenant(s) which will decide the layout of the building. Tacos Acapulco: 'This is the Real Stuff'

Ramon Picazo talks about running his authentic Mexican restaurant.

They say you can judge a good restaurant by the bread it serves. At a Mexican restaurant, it's the tortilla chips and salsa. If they're not good, it's like having a great band with a bad drummer. At Tacos Acapulco, owner and chef Ramon Picazo says he makes sure the food is authentic Mexican from start to finish. "The salsa is homemade," said Picazo. "There is nothing from a jar. We prepare it here every day, homemade chips and salsa. I prepare the chips myself." In January, Picazo celebrates his fourth year as a restaurant owner along with his wife, Reyna Rodriguez, and family. Growing up in Mexico, and then California, his mom owned a restaurant.
