UPDATED: VT Driver Struck, Killed Pedestrian on Route 20

10:11 p.m.: Shrewsbury police released a statement, confirming a pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 20 on Thursday, Nov. 29. Police were dispatched to the scene at 5:56 p.m. in the vicinity of 200 Hartford Turnpike (Route 20). The vehicle, a 2010 Jeep Liberty driven by Joanne Breault of Jericho, VT, headed east on Route 20 when it hit the victim, who was attempting to cross Route 20 near the Edgemere Trailer Park. The Worcester Telegram and Gazette reported that neighbors said the man who was hit took care of his severely-diabetic brother.
