Obituary: Shrewsbury Man Killed in Car Crash

Joseph Milan was a Town Meeting member in Shrewsbury, among other interests.

Joseph "Squeek" Milan, 56, of Shrewsbury and formerly Holliston, died unexpectedly in a car accident on Friday, Feb. 8. Squeek was a town meeting member of Shrewsbury and Framingham, and was a friend of Bill W. for 28 years; and was instrumental in helping to heal, guide and counsel many others. He enjoyed his motorcycle as well as his music and the New England Patriots. Squeek was also known as the Mayor of Holliston and was a member of the Holliston VFW and American Legion. He was also active with The Ashland Fish and Game, where he was a board member and the past president.

Cancer Claims Two and WWII Veteran Dies

Melody Rene Bohl, of Newtonville, Massachusetts died October 25 in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after an intense three month battle with cancer. Elaine E. Gesell, 73, of Westborough, died on Thursday, October 25 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northborough after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard C. (Dick) McCleary passed away on October 26 at age 87. The cause of death was interstitial lung disease. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Francesca, four children, Rita, Richard, Gregory, and Louise, and three grandchildren. He served in World War II and taught as a professor.

Robert Frost, 89, Died

Frost's daughter lived in Shrewsbury.

Robert Frost, 89, of Worcester died Friday, July 20 in St. Vincent's Hospital after a period of declining health. Robert was born October 8, 1922 in Boston; his mother was the late Margaret Wyman. In 1951, Robert met and married what would be his wife and best friend for the next 40 years Lena (Pecorelli) Frost before she died in September of 1992. Together they settled in Worcester to raise their four children, Kenneth R. Frost and his wife Marilyn of Clifton VA., Patricia Steinhilber and her husband Paul of Auburn, Lois Frost-McKeon and her husband Thomas of New Hope MN, and Jane Erickson and her husband Thomas of Shrewsbury; Robert is also survived by seven grandchildren he cherished and whom cherished him; Nicholas Frost, John …

Shrewsbury Resident Dennis Flynn Dies

Dennis Flynn's love of animals began when he worked on the Flynn Family Farm in Shrewsbury.

Dennis J. Flynn, 76, died with his family by his side, on July 18. Dennis was born at the family homestead in the "Flynnville" section of South Shrewsbury. The fifth of eight children to John F. and Margaret R. (Fleming) Flynn, Dennis is predeceased by his parents and brothers, John F. Jr., Leonard P., Bernard A., and George J. He is survived by brothers' Dr. Daniel V. and his wife, Dr. Virginia of Charlottsville, VA, Joseph A. and his wife Eileen, of South Grafton, a sister, Ellen T. Ardiff of Shrewsbury and Florida, sister-in-law Dorothy Flynn of New Hampshire, and brother-in-law Richard Hutt of Wollaston. Animal Specialist Dies in Shrewsbury

Ljupco Kuzmanovski, 84, of Shrewsbury, died.

Ljupco Kuzmanovski, of Shrewsbury, died Wednesday, July 18 at UMASS Medical Center. He was 84. Ljupco, known to many as Louis, was born on February 25, 1928 in Bitola, Macedonia a son of the late Metodiga and Mirija (Nikolova) Kuzmanovski and emigrated to the United States 1967. Raised and educated in Macedonia he and his brothers owned and operated a textile manufacturing company. Upon settling in the United States he worked in the animal laboratory department at UMASS Memorial Medical Center and later at Astra Zeneca Corporation in Westborough. Louis was an avid soccer enthusiast and worked alongside his late son, Kiril "Kiro" Kuzmanovski at "Kiro's Soccer Camp" in Shrewsbury for many years. Louis is remembered as a loving husband, …

Deborah A. (Dowd) Stencel, 55, of Bumble Bee Circle, Shrewsbury, died Friday, July 13. She leaves her husband of 30 years, James E. “Jay” Stencel of Shrewsbury; a daughter, Jennifer, 26 of Nashville, TN; a son, Jason, 24, of Shrewsbury; her mother, Shirley M. (Murphy) Dowd of Paxton; five brothers, Dr. Dennis J., Kevin R., and Andrew J. Dowd of Paxton, Stephen M. Dowd of Spencer and Richard J. Dowd of North Attleboro; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Deborah was born July 22, 1956 in Worcester to Shirley M. and the late Dr. Richard J. Dowd.
