Former Worcester Police Officer Dies

A funeral Mass will be held on May 3 for Paul P. Kristo.

Paul P. Kristo, 90, of Worcester died Monday, April 30, with family gathered at his side. Paul was born Worcester, son of Adam and Victoria (Boble) Kristopovich. He graduated from South High School, furthered his education at Boys Trade School for two years learning a trade. He joined U.S. Navy, becoming a Navy Pilot to serve his country during World War II. Upon return he remained in the reserves flying aircraft out of South Weymouth Naval Air Station. Paul was appointed a police officer for the city of Worcester in 1949 and for the next 34 years, Paul served with distinction before retiring. Paul leaves behind his devoted wife and partner of 61 years, Eleanor M. (Johnson) Kristo; four children he cherished, James P. Kristo and his wife …
