Troopers Make Drug Trafficking Arrest in Shrewsbury

A New Hampshire man was pulled over on 290 for speeding; police said he was hiding ecstasy in his car.

A 33-year-old Goffstown, NH, man was arrested in Shrewsbury yesterday morning on drug trafficking charges after State Police pulled him over for speeding. Trooper Dana Oliver stopped a Lincoln Navigator on Rte. 290 at about 11 a.m. Wednesday. The driver, Samuel G. Lebron, 33, of Goffstown, NH, was found to be unlicensed. Police learned he had active warrants out for his arrest in New Hampshire; they said they searched the SUV and found a secret compartment that contained 175 grams of ecstasy pills. Police took Lebron into custody, charging him with trafficking in methamphetamine and Distribution of a Class B substance. More charges are expected to be filed. Lebron is being held without bail as he has unrelated drug charges with State …

Men Accused of Drug Trafficking Back in Court

Judges rule on Shrewsbury court cases.

Monday Nov. 28: Matthew J. Cygielnik, 32, of 25 Lexington Road, Shrewsbury, was arrested Oct. 28 by the state police in Shrewsbury and charged with OUI liquor. Judge Vito Virzi found sufficient facts and continued the case without a finding to Nov. 29. He was ordered into a treatment program, lost his license for 210 days and fined $600 and a $65 monthly probation fee. Virzi dismissed charges of driving an uninsured motor vehicle and found him not responsible of marked lanes violation. Damien C. Hopkins, 28, of 20 Beacon St., Plainville, was summonsed into court Nov. 26 by Shrewsbury police and charged with miscellaneous municipal bylaw violation, failure to stop for police, possession of a class B drug, failure to stop/yield and failure …
