For the second year in a row, Ameile Rearden donated gifts to a cause.
Second grader Ameile Rearden really wants a new playground for Paton School. So much so, that she donated her birthday gifts from her eighth birthday party this year. "I donated $200 to the playground," Rearden said. "We really need a playground." Paton Principal Jayne Wilkin said the donation was one of the largest donations to the playground project. The project is still $20,000 away from their goal to replace the playground that was demolished last year. Find out more about donating to the Paton playground.

When the Shrewsbury Public Library completes its proposed renovation, children will have a wonderful new space to read, play and learn thanks in part to a local resident and her family-owned law practice. For Shrewsbury resident Attorney Mary Casey, founder of the Harbor Law Group in Northborough, a children’s room is a library’s treasure. With a generous business donation to the renovation project in honor of children who will pass through the new library doors, Casey hopes to help the institution continue providing youthful visitors with a love of learning, sense of freedom and opportunity to discover.
