A man faces multiple charges, including A&B with a dangerous weapon, after he allegedly sped off from an argument, striking the victim with his car, damaging a lawn and driving drunk, said police. A Shrewsbury man charged with "visciously" beating his 83-year-old mother was held on $100,000 at his arraignment on Friday in Worcester Superior Court, reported the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. Sean C. Connolly, 44, of 30 Cross St., Shrewsbury was charged with assault and battery on a person over 60 with injury and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife) in November.
