The Shrewsbury Public Library has over 100,000 items in its collection and has access to more through the inter-library loan service CW-Mars. The library offers a variety of programming from story hours for young children to book clubs for young adults and adults as well as events focusing on culture and history. It also accepts almost all types of books as donations for their collections except textbooks, wet, moldy or smelly books and no encyclopedias.
