Monday Essentials: Free Pizza, Demonstrations at Shrewsbury Fire

Each Monday, we provide information to help you plan your week.

As you plan your week, consider taking the kids to the Shrewsbury Fire Department Saturday.

The department is hosting an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 5, at 11 Church Rd.

The event is being held in conjunction with National Fire Safety Month. Local families are invited to the department to learn more about fire safety.
Activities include:

A live demonstration of the Fire Dept. “Jaws of Life” automobile crash rescue tools

  • “Hazard House” and “Cooking Prop” Demonstrations
  • Antique Fire Apparatus and Equipment from the 1800’s on display
  • Free Coloring Books, Stickers and Fire Helmets for kids
  • Free Papa Gino’s Pizza
