New Eagle Scout!!

American Legion Ray Stone Post 238 and Troop 4 are proud to announce that Sean Travers, age 17 of Shrewsbury, has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.  Troop 4 recently moved from Westborough to its new home at the Ray Stone Post.  Sean is its first Eagle Scout from Shrewsbury. The ceremony date for the Eagle Scout presentation is yet to be announced.

Sean is a junior at Shrewsbury High School. He is a member of the varsity football and lacrosse team at Shrewsbury High and a member of the Seven Hills Lacrosse Club as well.   As a Boy Scout, Sean is the recipient of the Triple Crown Award for having attended scouting’s three High Adventure Camps.  Sean is the 105th Eagle Scout for Troop 4 and it is noted that less than 4% of Scouts ever achieve Scouting’s highest honor. This elite brotherhood includes many famous people from astronauts to presidents, business leaders to military generals. The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based organizations.  Its programs are designed to build character and leadership capabilities.  Congratulations Sean!
