Shrewsbury Patriots Win State Championship

The Shrewsbury Patriots cheer teams will also be competing later this month at the DCU Center.

The following release was submitted by the Shrewsbury Patriots Board of Directors:

We are proud to announce the 5th Grade All-American team, led by Coach Schaefer and staff, was victorious on Sunday.

The undefeated Patriots team took down the Wellesley Jr. Raiders, 6-0, to capture the 2011 AYF Massachusetts State Championship.

They look to continue this great run on Sunday, Nov. 20 at Stellos Stadium in Nashua NH. The game is at 9 a.m.

While the fifth grade team looks to continue to advance in the regional playoffs, the Division 10 and Division 12 cheerleaders are working hard to perfect their routines as they anxiously await their regional competition after both took home first place honors at the local competition.

The D-10 and D-12 cheer teams will be competing on Nov. 27 at the DCU Center in Worcester. What a great opportunity to see our fantastic cheer teams perform.

Let's show our Patriots Pride by getting into our blue and gold gear and getting to these events to support these great teams.
