VIDEO: Paton Student Donates Birthday Gifts to Playground Project

For the second year in a row, Ameile Rearden donated gifts to a cause.

Second grader Ameile Rearden really wants a new playground for .

So much so, that she donated her birthday gifts from her eighth birthday party this year.

"I donated $200 to the playground," Rearden said. "We really need a playground."

Paton Principal Jayne Wilkin said the donation was one of the largest donations to the playground project.

The project is still $20,000 away from their goal to replace the playground that was demolished last year.
