Local Residents Inducted into Honor Societies at Providence College

Shrewsbury students were inducted into PC's honor societies.

The following Shrewsbury residents were recently inducted into the Providence College chapters of national honor societies:

Erica Barnum, a member of the class of 2013 at Providence College, was inducted into Sigma Delta Pi, the national honor society for Foreign Language Studies. Barnum is pursuing a degree in Spanish/Health Policy and Management.

Jennifer Crosier, a member of the class of 2013 at Providence College, was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society for History. Crosier is pursuing a degree in History.

Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars. The Catholic, liberal arts college has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 3,900 students and offers degrees in 49 academic majors. Since 1997, Providence College has consistently been ranked among the top five regional universities in the north according to U.S. News' America's Best Colleges.
