Mindfulness Meditation for Teenagers starting May 8

"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are"

Thursdays 4:00 to 5:00pm, 6 week session from May 8 to June 12 with Lisa Campbell

A teen’s life encompasses a great deal of growth and change and can be a time of great inspiration, excitement, and freedom, as well as a time of great challenge and anxiety. In this experiential, light-hearted series, you will learn about the many benefits of meditation and how to cultivate your own daily practice. You’ll be guided through meditations designed especially for teens and experience mindful communication techniques that you can easily integrate into your daily life. The benefits of meditation and mindfulness based practices are well documented, and new studies are beginning to show that students who meditate.

Lisa Campbell has meditated for twenty years and knows first-hand that meditation is a profound method anyone can learn and use to enhance their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Fifteen years ago Lisa left a high-pressure job to become a Holistic Health Teacher certified by the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. She passionately wanted to share with others how to successfully manage stress, and first on her list was meditation.  Lisa taught stress reduction programs in her community and brought a highly successful meditation program to her next employer.
