On Monday, Sept. 9, Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury), Representatives John Mahoney (D-Worcester) and James O’Day (D-West Boylston) each received the Healthy Communities Award from the Family Healthy Center of Worcester, Inc.
The award honors and recognizes public officials who have lead efforts to support health centers and have contributed to the overall health of the Commonwealth. The award ceremony took place at the center’s primary location at 26 Queen Street in Worcester.

“I am truly honored and touched to be recognized by the Family Health Center of Worcester and to be named a recipient of the 2013 Healthy Communities Award,” said Moore. “It is essential that individuals and families have access to quality and comprehensive health care. Regardless of age and financial means, quality health services are not a luxury, but a necessity. I look forward to continuing to work with the Family Health Center to further promote healthy communities and healthy living.”
