Vehicle Travels Wrong Way on Route 9; Teen Arrested

Thursday, Aug. 8

10:20 a.m.: A caller from Sherwin Williams on Route 9 reported shoplifting.

3:42 p.m.: A caller from Pete’s Tire Barn reported that a customer had given them a bad check.

4:37 p.m.: A caller reported vandalism at Dean Park.

8:47 a.m.: A 911 caller from Elm Street reported that they were being verbally abused. Liam Prifti, 18, of 20 Elm St., Apt. 2, was arrested on a violation of his probation.

Friday, Aug. 9

12:28 a.m.: A caller reported a white Ford Escort traveling eastbound in the westbound lane on Route 9.

12:33 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Boston Turnpike. One woman was taken into protective custody.

7:00 a.m.: A caller from Transaxle on Hartford Turnpike reported an overnight break-in.

4:56 p.m.: Two vehicles were towed after they were involved in a crash on North Quinsigamond. Police are seeking a summons for one of the driver.

5:21 p.m.: A caller from Lake Street reported that an adult male had possibly overdosed on marijuana.
