Two Charged with Disturbing the Peace, Car and Tires Stolen Around Town

July 3

Timothy Sebastian, 19, of 95 Grove St. on warrant charges from a motor vehicle stop.

July 5

Eric Alexander Canfield, 22, of 59 Longfellow Rd., was arrested and charged with drunken-driving, leaving the scene of a crash and marked lanes violation.

Gilberto Rivera, 46, of 53 Clinton St. was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest.

Shawn Swift, 34, of 80 Stanton St., Apt. 19, Worcester, was arrested on a warrant charge of assault and battery.

Jake Ryan, 18, of 85 Burncoat Ln., Leicester, was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and trespassing

Incidents, July 3 through July 5

Wednesday, July 3

8:05 a.m.: A caller from the Shrewsbury Commons apartments reported that the tires had been removed from the vehicle.

8:18 a.m.: A caller from the Shrewsbury Green apartments reported that their vehicle had been stolen.

8:33 a.m.: An officer took a report of stolen tires from a vehicle at the Shrewsbury Green apartments.

8:35 a.m.: A resident of the Shrewsbury Green apartments reported that the tires on their vehicle had been vandalized.

5:38 p.m.: An officer took a report of a suspicious box left at a resident's door on Colton Lane.

7:06 p.m.: An officer checked for a female panhandler on Hartford Turnpike. The woman was gone when the officer arrived.

8:55 p.m.: A 911 caller reported an unconscious woman on the side of the road on Floral Street. Officers responded and medics transported the woman to UMass Medical Center.

Thursday, July 4

12:49 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a loud argument on Karen Avenue.

3:02 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Grove Street and arrested Timothy Sebastian, 19, of 95 Grove St. on warrant charges from a separate motor vehicle stop.

1:08 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic wave runner on Lake Quinsigamond by Sunset Beach. Officers were unable to gain entry to the cove with the police boat.

5:03 p.m.: An officer spoke with boaters who were “wake jumping” on Lake Quinsigamond.

7:54 p.m.: The owner of Blake Island on Lake Quinsigamond reported that there were kids on the island destroying the property. Officers responded on the boat but there was no one on the island at the time.

9:09 p.m.: A caller from Stoneland Road reported fireworks causing a disturbance in the area.

10:20 p.m.: An officer removed two suspicious people from Dean Park.

Friday, July 5

2:35 a.m.: A caller reported a one-car crash on Gulf Street. Eric Alexander Canfield, 22, of 59 Longfellow Rd., was arrested and charged with drunken-driving, leaving the scene of a crash and marked lanes violation.

3:49 a.m.: A caller from Clinton Street reported a disturbance. Gilberto Rivera, 46, of 53 Clinton St. was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest.

6:29 p.m.: A caller reported two men going door-to-door on Bailey Road. Shawn Swift, 34, of 80 Stanton St., Apt. 19, Worcester, was arrested on a warrant charge of assault and battery.

7:06 p.m.: A caller from Smith Lane requested police assistance with removing a drunk male from her property.

11:52 p.m.: A caller reported a disturbance on Knowlton Avenue. Jake Ryan, 18, of 85 Burncoat Ln., Leicester, was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and trespassing. A second male was taken into protective custody.
