Two Arrested After Breaking Into, Stealing From Cars

Saturday, June 13

12:22 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Neptune Drive. John Lynch, 19, of 16 Neptune Dr. was arrested and charged with possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, possession of liquor by a person under 21 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

3:47 a.m.: A caller from the Shrewsbury Green apartments reported three suspicious people in the area. After a foot chase Christopher Charleton, 18, of 61 Hamilton Rd., Northborough, and Jullian Coleman, 19, of 29 Worthington Ave., were arrested and charged with larceny over $250 and nighttime breaking and entering into a motor vehicle with intent to commit a felony. Officers were unable to catch the third suspect.

4:08 p.m.: An officer spoke to children on Liberty Drive who were reportedly running into the road.

4:40 p.m.: A caller reported that a male in a silver SUV just threw a female from the vehicle. Officers responded but the vehicle was gone.

5:08 p.m.: A suitcase that had been stolen during a break-in on Friday was recovered on Prospect Street.

6:48 p.m.: A caller from Shrewsbury Green Drive reported a break-in to his vehicle.

9:28 p.m.: A truck was pulled out of the water at the Oak Island Boat Ramp on Route 20.

Sunday, July 14

1:08 a.m.: A caller reported a hit and run crash that occurred on Coachman Ridge Road. Both vehicles were towed and one operator was issued a criminal citation.

10:24 a.m.: A caller from Walnut Street reported that a dog had bitten them. Animal Control was notified.

4:47 p.m.: A caller from Building 19 reported that a customer had started a fire in the store. The fire was extinguished but the caller wanted to file a report.

7:05 p.m.: A resident of Grafton Street reported that their mountain bike had been stolen.

8:20 p.m.: A caller from Prospect Street reported kids throwing water balloons at cars.
