Three Worcester Men Arrested on Burglary Charges

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Incidents, Tuesday, Sept. 3 

8:12 a.m.: Minor MVA involving a SELCO truck, Municipal Drive 

10:54 a.m.: Party in lobby speaks to officer about dispute with husband regarding children, Saturn Drive 

11:32 a.m.: Person reports that she witnessed a tractor-trailer unit take down a sign on Route 20/122 and headed toward Shrewsbury. 

2:13 p.m.: BOLO issued for a stolen MV from UMass. Owner left the department and couldn't find the car. There is possibly minor front end damage from breaking through the gate in the garage. 

2:32 p.m.: Craigslist scam reported, Grafton Street 

6:42 p.m.: Person reports threats to officer, Worthington Ave. 

8:44 p.m.: Person calls to report suspicious person under the Route 9 bridge. Gone on arrival. 

8:54 p.m.: Report of Hispanic male walking in the middle of Quinsigamond Ave. Spoken to...

9:32 p.m.: Fraud reported, Hartford Turnpike 

11:03 p.m.: Person reports erratic driver on Boston Turnpike headed toward Westborough 

Incidents, Wednesday, Sept. 4 

12:06 a.m.: Resident reports someone throwing an unknown object at his vehicle in the area of South Quinsigamond 

2:31 a.m.: Three men arrested at 197 Boston Turnpike. Mario Mejia, 49 Pleasant Valley Dr., Worcester, arrested and charged with possessing a burglarious instrument, conspiracy, driving with a revoked license, receiving stolen property more than $250, speeding, failure to stop. Alexis Mendez, 86 Woodland St., Worcester, arrested and charged with possession of a burglarious instrument, conspiracy, receiving stolen property greater than $250, use of MV without authority. Josue Recino, 55 Endicott St., Worcester, arrested and charged with possession of burglarious instrument, conspiracy, receiving stolen property greater than $250.
