Suspicious Vehicle Towed, Theft From UPS Facility

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

12:22 a.m.: A caller from Niblick Road reported a loud noise in the area. An officer was unable to find the source of the noise.

7:12 a.m.: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in their driveway on North Quinsigamond. The vehicle was towed.

11:21 a.m.: A UPS employee reported a larceny at their facility on Memorial Drive.

11:22 a.m.: A person went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report a dispute at a business at 276 Boston Turnpike.

11:40 a.m.: An officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Boston Turnpike but the vehicle fled the stop and hit the officer. The driver was later arrested although details of the arrest have not been made public.

2:10 p.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash on Main Street near the Shrewsbury Public Library. One of the vehicles was left at the library for a short period of time.

2:17 p.m.: A resident went in to the police station to report that their wallet had been lost or stolen at White City Shopping Center.

4:01 p.m.: The Animal Control Officer responded to a complaint on Heath Road.
