Shrewsbury Police Assist in Motel 6 Armed Robbery

Shrewsbury police assisted Northborough, Westborough and Massachusetts State Police in an investigation of an armed robbery that involved a gun at Motel 6 early Tuesday morning. 

Around 12:30 a.m., police responded to the motel on Route 9, where a front desk clerk had been held at gunpoint and ordered to hand over cash, according to Northborough police Det. Brian Griffin. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money. 

Northborough police, Shrewsbury police, Westborough police, and the Massachusetts State Police, including the K9 Unit, responded but no suspects were found in the search. The matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information should call 508-393-1522.
