Shrewsbury Police Arrest Two For Larceny, Drugs And Firearms

A tire theft leads to more charges for three local men.

Police noticed two rims and tires missing off of a car at the Shrewsbury Green Apartments, which led to the arrest of three local men on Tuesday.

Justin A Wogan, 23, 352 Grafton St., of Shrewsbury and Christian G. Castro, 22, 2 Flagg St., Worcester both faces charges that include possession of a firearm, possession of drugs and larceny.

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 1:20 a.m. Shrewsbury officers David Faucher and Officer Patrick Robert spotted a car at the Shrewsbury Green Apartments with two rims and tires missing.

The officers investigated further and discovered a motor vehicle running nearby with its doors open. Officers did a search of the parking lot and discovered two suspects hiding from the police.

The two men were arrested and charged with the theft of the tires and rims, and also for damaging the vehicles. When Shrewsbury's detective unit joined the officers for a further investigation, it resulted in a search warrant which led to further charges.

Wogan has been charged with larceny over $250, defacing or damaging property, possessing a large capacity firearm (three counts), possession of a firearm and ammunition, receiving stolen property over $250, possession of a firearm without an ID, possession of a silencer, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, possession of Class A, B, C and E drugs, and possession of Class D drugs with intent to distribute.

Castro's charges are larceny over $250 and defacing property.

Both defendants were arraigned at Westborough District Court on Dec. 12.
