Shrewsbury Man Ordered to Pay Fees After Dumping Illegally in Northborough

Charges were dismissed on a Shrewsbury man who dumped construction materials in Northborough, but he was ordered to pay fees. 

Michael P. Moreau, 24, of 8 Cottage Ave., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face charges of dumping trash from a motor vehicle (more than 7 cubic feet).

Judge Robert B. Calagione dismissed the charge upon payment of $300 in court costs.

Police say Moreau dumped--and later cleaned up--building materials on a main street property without permission.

The Worcester Telegram and Gazette reports that Moreau dumped the debris from his Ford dump truck near Bigelow's nursery on June 2, but when he was stopped by police days later told them he had returned to pick it up.
