Shrewsbury Man Charged with Assault; Flower Pots Stolen

Saturday, Aug. 3

10:20 a.m.: A caller from Carter Road reported that flower pots had been stolen from their yard.

5:27 p.m.: An officer took a report of an ongoing neighborly dispute on Lakeside Drive.

9:36 p.m.: A caller reported that their bicycle had been stolen from Chipotle.

12:18 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Hartford Turnpike and arrested Richard Capra, 68, of 437 Lake St. Capra was charged with marked lanes violation, failure to attach a license plate, operating an unregistered vehicle, operating with a suspended license and a miscellaneous equipment violation.

2:53 p.m.: A caller from CVS reported a shoplifter.

5:20 p.m.: A caller reported an assault on West Main Street. David Shays, 50, of 176 West Main St., was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
