Sex Solicitation, Drunk Driving Crash and Arrest

Thursday, Feb. 14

11:51 a.m.: The Animal Control Officer terminated a raccoon on Heronwood Drive.

2:04 p.m.: A caller from Speedy Glass reported larceny by check.

Friday, Feb. 15

2:58 a.m.: The Shrewsbury Fire Department responded to an odor of natural gas near AMF Town and Country Lanes.

10:42 a.m.: An officer spoke to sled riders on Oak Street at Rucliff Street that were going in to the roadway.

4:45 p.m.: A caller from one of the businesses at 196 Boston Turnpike reported a past larceny.

4:52 p.m.: An officer arrested Ashlyn O’Malley, 21, of 100 B Pine St., North Grafton. O’Malley faces warrant charges of possession of marijuana.

5:24 p.m.: A caller from Papa Ginos on Boston Turnpike reported a possible break-in attempt.

5:30 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a break-in on Arbor Drive.

7:00 p.m.: A caller from Millwood Drive reported they returned home and their garage door was open and their dog was missing. The dog was found in the attic.

7:45 p.m.: Officers arrested Carol Manoli. 57, of 235 Boston Trnpk., Apt. 126. Manoli faced warrant charges of assault and battery.

10:12 p.m.: An officer and the K9 unit checked the area around Overlook Avenue after a 911 caller reported a suspicious male going in to garages.

Saturday, Feb. 16

6:35 a.m.: A caller reported a male soliciting sex at the Oak Island Boat Ramp. The male had left the area when officers arrived.

2:55 p.m.: A caller from the White City Shopping Center reported that another vehicle in the lot had rolled in to their vehicle. No damage was reported.

4:19 p.m.: A caller from Stop and Shop on Boston Turnpike reported a shoplifter. Adam Mortell, 18, of 36 Broad St., Barre was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

5:39 p.m.: Multiple 911 callers reported a two-car crash on Hartford Turnpike. Both vehicles were towed and one person was taken to Worcester Medical Center. Ann Jenkins, 56, of 667 Main St., Apt. 1, North Oxford was arrested and charged with drunken-driving.

Sunday, Feb. 17

Continuing: Officers issued more than a dozen parking violations during the overnight snow squall.

6:49 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a rollover crash on Boston Turnpike. The vehicle had slipped off the road and not rolled.
