Reportedly Drunk Man Arraigned After Falling Asleep at Wheel

Also in Westborough District Court Wednesday, a man was sentenced to probation on a drunken driving charge.

Wednesday, Nov. 21  

Bentley N. Morrall, 23, of 245 Pine Cone Strand, Acton, was arrested by Northborough police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Judge Vito Virzi released Morrall on personal recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Jan. 2. According to a police report, an officer allegedly found Morrall passed out behind the wheel of his car at the Honey Farms market just after 2 a.m. Tuesday. 

Eduardo Diaz, 33, of 2A Pelham St., Apt. 2, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face a charge of permitting unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the charge upon payment of $200 in court costs.

Benjamin Chevalier, 26, of 10222 Arbor Dr., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and unregistered motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the suspended license charge upon payment of $100 in court costs and found Chevalier not responsible on the unregistered motor vehicle charge. 

Jose Benitez, 35, of 17 Forest Ln., Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police to face a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi found Benitez responsible on a decriminalized version of the charge and ordered him to pay $600 in court costs.

Jeff Milien, 22, of 19 Franklin St., Medway, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a lights violation. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the first charge upon payment of $100 in court costs and found Milien not responsible on the lights charge. 

Humberto M. Daza, 46, of 76 Apsleys St., Hudson, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating with a suspended registration and uninsured motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi found Daza responsible on a decriminalized version of the unlicensed charge and ordered him to pay $600 in court costs. The other two charges were dismissed upon payment of $300 in court costs.  

Thomas Orlando, 25, of 35A Warren St., Westborough, was arrested by Westborough police and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and a marked lanes violation. Judge Vito Virzi continued the OUI charge without a finding for six months and ordered Orlando to serve one year of supervised probation and pay $600 in court costs and sentenced him to a 45 day loss of license. The leaving the scene charge was dismissed and Orlando was found responsible on the marked lanes charge, which was filed.
