Probation, Apology for Keeper of Disorderly House

The following cases were heard in Westborough DIstrict Court.

Monday, Jan. 7 

Oscar Mendoza Jr., 17, of 7 Jane St., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of keeping a noisy and disorderly house, larceny under $250, being a person under 20 procuring and possessing alcohol and receiving stolen property. Judge Vito Virzi continued without a finding for one year the disorderly house and procuring liquor charges, ordering Mendoza to undergo supervised probation until Aug. 15, 2013 and to write a letter of apology to Shrewsbury police by Jan. 31. He also must enroll in the Brains at Risk program. According to a police report, officers responded to a reported underage drinking party at an address known to them from previous incidents. Offices found kegs of beer and construction cones clearly marked as property of the Shrewsbury police department. 

Michael T. Lauziere, 33, of 3 Artemas Ave., Shrewsbury, was arrested by Northborough police and charged with assault and assault and battery. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the assault charge and found Lauziere guilty on the assault and battery charge, ordering him to serve six months in the House of Corrections, to run concurrent with a sentence currently being served on another charge. The charges stem from an incident in November when a scuffle broke out in the kitchen of the IHOP restaurant on Shops Way.

Charles R. Mardrosian, 53, of 7 Estes Rd., Hanover, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police to face a charge of operating with a suspended license. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the charge upon payment of $200 in court costs. 

Cary M. Walker, 33, of 4 Park ST., Northborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face charges of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, a number plate violation and no license in possession. Judge Vito Virzi found Walker not responsible on the unregistered and number plate charges and dismissed the other two charges upon payment of $200 in court costs.

Mehran Asdigha, 51, of 1 Birch Brush Rd., Shrewsbury, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with two counts of assault and battery. Judge Vito Virzi ordered Asdigha held on $500 cash bail or $5,000 surety and scheduled a formal arraignment for Feb. 7. 

Clinton D. Christian, 47, of 426 S. Quinsigamond Ave., Shrewsbury, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and failure to stop or yield. Judge Vito Virzi released Christian on personal recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Feb. 28. 

Adam D. Haddad, 35, of 400 Grafton St., Shrewsbury, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Judge Vito Virzi ordered Haddad held on $500 cash bail and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Feb. 25. According to a police report, the weapon in question is a door that Haddad allegedly pushed into his victim during a domestic disturbance. 

Sarah White, 25, of 46 Bedford Ave., Worcester, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with operating with a licensed suspended for operating under the influence, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and possession of a class B substance. Judge Vito Virzi found White guilty on the operating with a suspended license charge, an ordered her to serve 60 days in the House of Corrections, with credit for time served. She was given a similar concurrent sentence on the possession charge. All other charges were dismissed. 

Amie L. Ferrante, 28, of 20 High St., Spencer, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police to face charges of larceny of a credit card, larceny under $250 and forgery of a document.  Judge Vito Virzi found Ferrante guilty of the larceny charge, sentencing her to six months in the House of Corrections, with 28 days to serve and the balance suspended for one year, as well as 1 year of supervised probation and $800 in restitution. Police said Ferrante stole three credit cards from a customer at the Lyman St. Stop & Shop and used them in various other stores. 

Jeffrey A. Walsh, 46, of 36 Old Faith Rd., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and a marked lanes violation. Judge Vito Virzi demised the leaving the scene charge upon payment of $200 in court costs and found Walsh not responsible on the marked lanes charge. 

Daniel V. Catalan, 19, of 293 Turnpoike Rd., Westborough, was arrested by Westborough police and charged with operating under the influence of liquor. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case without a finding for one year, ordering Catalan to complete a 24D treatment program and ordering a 45 day loss of license and $600 in court costs and fines.
