Police Respond to Calls of Larceny, Mailbox Egging

The following information was supplied by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Incidents, Wednesday, Aug. 21 

7:16 a.m.: Police respond to a two-car MVA on the corner of Prospect and Boylston streets. No injuries reported. 

7:46 a.m.: Two-car MVA on Hartford Turnpike. No injuries, but car is smoking. 

10:56 a.m.: Bicycle and car crash on South Quinsigamond Ave. Cyclist left before police arrived. 

12:35 p.m.: Lost diamond necklace, Spring Street 

2 p.m.: Person wishes to speak to an officer regarding harassment, Howe Ave. 

2:22 p.m.: Resident reports that an older male approached her to ask if she was going to Worcester. His car had the trunk and doors open, on Boston Turnpike. Police find that the car is disabled, and he is waiting for assistance. 

5:56 p.m.: Mailbox egged on Whippoorwhil Drive 

9:42 p.m.: Larceny, Fyrebeck Ave. 

11:10 p.m.: Harassing phone calls, South Street
