Police Log: Stolen Lawn Mower, Possible Drug Dealer

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

7:25 a.m.: An officer issued two verbal warnings for traffic violations on Holden Street.

1030 a.m.: A caller from Main Street reported that a riding lawn mower was stolen.

3:43 p.m.: A detective investigated a larceny report from South Street.

3:47 p.m.: Officers responded with the Shrewsbury Fire Department for a two-car crash on Main Street. Both vehicles were towed.

5:50 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious person on Maple Avenue that was possibly dealing drugs. The person was gone on a police officer’s arrival.

8:24 p.m.: A caller from Bailey Road reported smoke coming from a self-cleaning oven.

11:32 p.m.: A caller reported a break-in in progress on Oxford Drive. Officers searched the area but found nothing suspicious.
