Police Log: Smashed Mailboxes, Attempted break-in
The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Nov. 2
7:11 a.m.: A caller reported a large pallet in the roadway on Boston Turnpike. An officer responded but was unable to locate it.
10:18 p.m.: A resident went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report an incident that occurred at a party.

10:38 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of an attempted break-in on Jacobson Drive. No entry was gained to the residence but the screen and window sill were damaged.
11:04 a.m.: The Animal Control Officer spoke to an employee at 50 Boston Turnpike about feeding the birds.

12:12 p.m.: A resident of Memorial Drive reported damage to multiple mailboxes and signs in the area.
2:32 p.m.: A caller from Hillando Drive reported an elderly male going through cans in the neighborhood.
3:05 p.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash on Hartford Turnpike. No injuries were reported but both cars were towed.
4:46 p.m.: A caller from Latura Street reported a coyote walking through the neighborhood.
5:41 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Main Street after a caller reported that it was traveling at a high rate of speed.
7:02 p.m.: An officer removed several tires that were in the roadway on the Route 9 bridge.
8:15 p.m.: A caller reported a hit deer on Sewell Street. The vehicle involved had left the scene and the deer was dead.
11:16 p.m.: An officer removed an unwanted male from the porch of a residence on Phillips Avenue.
Saturday, Nov. 3
1:26 a.m.: A caller from the Boylston Police Department reported a vehicle in the water on Candlewood Way in Shrewsbury. The Shrewsbury Fire Department responded as a precaution although no one was believed to be in the vehicle.
1:37 a.m.: An officer checked the North Street area for youths who were being loud and causing a disturbance. The youths were not located.
3:18 a.m.: A caller from CVS reported a larceny. An officer was able to respond in time and get the items returned.
7:19 a.m.: A caller from Olde colony Drive reported that their mailbox was vandalized and a check was taken.
9:03 p.m.: A caller reported vandalism to their mailbox on Lantern Lane.
11:03 a.m.: A caller from Oak Street reported a dog bite. Animal Control was notified.
1:11 p.m.: A caller from Keyes House Road reported vandalism to their mailbox,
1:44 p.m.: An officer spoke to unregistered solicitors on Mercury Drive.
7:15 p.m.: A caller the self storage facility on Boston Turnpike reported that they were locked in the gates. The same caller was able to get out before an officer arrived.
737 p.m.: A resident went in to the police station to report items that were stolen from a storage unit at the self-storage facility on Boston Turnpike.
