Police Log: Sling Shot Seized

Thursday, May 10:

7:43 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Harriet Avenue. Police reponded and said it was a project manager for checking the drainage system.

8:20 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Gage Lane for a woman with abdominal pain. She was taken to UMass.

9:35 a.m.: A caller reported vandalism to his property on Wilder Road. A report was taken.

9:43 a.m.: A caller reported a manhole cover up at Route 20 and South Street. was notified.

10:15 a.m.: A person in the lobby reported an identity theft on Fruit Street. A report was taken.

11:11 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Boston Turnpike for a man with a main port that fell out with extensive bleeding. He was taken to UMass.

12:51 p.m.: A caller reported an identity theft on South Street. A report taken.

1:46 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Casavan Street for a man with a rectal bleed. He was taken to UMass.

2:56 p.m.: John M. King, 38, of 8 Glenwood St., Apt. 2, Worcester, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended/revoked.

3:52 p.m.: The animal control officer responded to to relocate ducks.

3:55 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported past assaults on Clinton Street. Police advised the person to go to Westborough District Court for a restraining order. A report was taken.

4 p.m.: A homeowner on Angela Avenue reported they came home and found a hammer thrown through a glass door. Police responded and confirmed a break-in occurred. A report was taken.

4:22 p.m.: Suspicious people were reported at a business on Boston Turnpike. Police responded and spoke to all involved.

5:08 p.m.: Elisabeth M. Brandt, 23, of 49 Fairlawn Cir., Shrewsbury, was arrested on a warrant and charged with larceny under $250.

6:21 p.m.: Suspicious men were reported on Boston Turnpike.

6:25 p.m.: A caller reported a verbal altercation on Main Street.

6:50 p.m.: Police responded to Melody and Lamplighter lanes for a car obstructing the road.

9:15 p.m.: Two suspicious men were reported at Edgewater Avenue. Police seized a sling shot.

9:46 p.m.: A suspicious car was reproted at Greenbriar Drive and Ivy Path.

10:54 p.m.: A domestic dispute was reported on Boston Turnpike.

Melvin Ruiz, 27, of 63 Mason St., Apt. 3, Webster, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, malicious destruction of property over $250 and intimidating a witness.

Friday, May 11:

1:40 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Spring Street.

2:13 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Ashwood Circle for a man with difficulty breathing. He was taken to UMass.

2:43 a.m.: Juan Gonzalez, 23, of 6 Talbot St., Newton, was arrested and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended/revoked license.

5:51 a.m.: Zachary Mills, 24, of 443 Oak St., Shrewsbury, was arrested on a warrant and charged with being a fugitive from justice.
