Police Log: Man Arrested on Assault to Murder Charge

Thursday, May 17:

8:58 a.m.: James E. White, Jr., 20, of 327 South Quinsigamond Ave., Shrewsbury, was arrested and charged on a warrant for conspiracy.

9:40 a.m.: A caller reported a suicide attempt on Boston Turnpike. A report was taken.

9:50 a.m.: The was notified of a large dead animal at Maple Avenue and Oak Street.

10:12 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Boston Turnpike for a woman with chest pains. She was taken to the hospital.

12:26 p.m.: A caller reported a bicycle was left on Crescent Street. Police removed the bicycle.

1:09 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported missing items taken by a contractor on Van Ness Avenue. Police left a message with the construction worker to return the knife.

1:53 p.m.: The animal control officer responded to a report of a found Boston terrier on St. James Road.

2:44 p.m.: Andrew N. Tatro, 21, of 73 Fairfax St., Apt. 4, Worcester, was arrested on a warrant and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault to murder.

2:55 p.m.: A caller reported an identity theft on Hamilton Circle. A report was taken.

4:03 p.m.: A person in the lobby turned in a ring found on Florence Street.

5:07 p.m.: The animal control officer picked up a Labrador retriever mix on Lakeside Path.

8:39 p.m.: A deer was reported in the road at South Street and Hunting Avenue, apparently hit by a car.

9:05 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Boston Turnpike.

10:02 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Julio Drive for a man with difficulty breathing. He was taken to UMass.

10:30 p.m.: A suspicious couple was talking in a car on Florence Street.

Friday, May 18:

2:21 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on North Quinsigamond Avenue.

2:34 a.m.: A suspicious man was reported on Boston Turnpike.

2:35 a.m.: Otaviano Decastro, 28, of 7 Oswalt St., Worcester, was arrested on a warrant and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.

4:12 a.m.: A caller reported a disturbance on Crescent Street.

6:57 a.m.: Anthony Canales, 24, of 1473 Bryant Ave., Apt. 4G, Bronx, NY, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A substance with an intent to distribute and possession of a Class A substance.

7:47 a.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Topsfield Circle.

8:31 a.m.: A person in the lobby reported a lost or stolen cell phone from Boston Turnpike.

8:37 a.m.: A person in the lobby reported a domestic dispute on Boston Turnpike.

9:01 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Julio Drive for a man who fell. He was taken to UMass.

11:13 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Oak Street for a woman with chest pain. She was taken to UMass.

11:42 a.m.: A person in the lobby found a laptop on South Quinsigamond Avenue and Oak Street. The property was left in the lobby.

11:49 a.m.: A caller reported a stolen GPS off his motorcycle on Boston Turnpike.

1:41 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Job Cushing Road for a woman with difficulty breathing. She was taken to UMass.

1:50 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported a missing cat on Carlton Street. The animal control officer responded.

2:59 p.m.: A person in the lobby reported an identity theft on Cherry Street.

3:53 p.m.: A caller reported a possible fight at . A report was taken.

3:55 p.m.: A caller reported someone stole his iPad from his car on Lincoln Way. The caller advised the iPad was found inside his home.

4:24 p.m.: A suspicious group of teens was reported on Edgewater Avenue. A report was taken.

4:54 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Wiltshire Drive.

6:21 p.m.: A medical call was reported at the for a lacrosse player with a neck injury. He was taken to UMass.

7:05 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Boston Turnpike.

7:13 p.m.: A caller reported a fight in a parking lot on Hartford Turnpike. A report was taken.

7:28 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Longfellow Road for a 17-year-old boy with a skin irritation and an allergic reaction to medication. He was taken to UMass.

7:41 p.m.: A small outside fire was reported on Boston Turnpike.

8:34 p.m.: A suspicious car was reported on Sajda Drive.

8:43 p.m.: A caller reported loud music coming from a home on Camelot Drive.

8:46 p.m.: A caller reported a loose dog at Main Street and Main Circle.

9:13 p.m.: An erratic driver was reported at Floral Street and Ryan Road.

10:28 p.m.: A caller reported a group of teens walking on the street on Meadow Hill Road and some seemed to be indecently exposed. Police responded, but were unable to locate the group.

11:31 p.m.: A suspicious group of teens were reported on the side of a building on South Quinsigamond Avenue.

Saturday, May 19:

1:16 a.m.: A person in the lobby reported harassing text messages. A reprote was taken.

2:15 a.m.: A caller reported loud music on Shrewsbury Green Drive.

5:01 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Arbor Drive for a man with numbness in his arm and chest pain. He was taken to St. Vincent's.

6:12 a.m.: A medical call was reported on Shrewsbury Green Drive for a man with possible injuries from a fall. He was taken to St. Vincent's.

11:45 a.m.: A larceny was investigated on Boston Turnpike.

12:59 p.m.: Two youths located a loose dog on Floral Street. The owner was contacted.

1:12 p.m.: A medical call was reported on Amherst Road for a woman with difficulty breathing. She was taken to UMass.

2:07 p.m.: Sebastian R. Lumpkins, 21, of 16 Colonial Dr., Shrewsbury, was arrested at his home.

2:32 p.m.: A caller reported a car fire on Hartford Turnpike. The fire department responded and assisted.

5:09 p.m.: A caller reported being threatened by a fisherman on the shore near North Quinsigamond Avenue and Main Street. Police advised it was a verbal dispute and both parties were moved along.

7:30 p.m.: A caller reported she was physically assaulter by her father on Sandpiper Drive. A report was taken.

8:33 p.m.: Loud music was reported on Holman Street.

9:13 p.m.: A caller reported loud music on Boylston Street.

10:28 p.m.: An outside fire was reported on North Quinsigamond Avenue. The fire department responded.

10:44 p.m.: A caller reported a loud party on North Quinsigamond Avenue.
