Police Log: Drug Conspiracy, Stolen iPad

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

7:17 a.m.: An officer issued one violation while conducting school traffic enforcement on Holden Street.

8:25 a.m.: A resident on Saturn Drive went in to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report a motor vehicle break-in.

9:44 a.m.: A person reported that their iPad had been stolen at 28 Sherwood Ave.

11:53 a.m.: A caller from Partridge Hill Road reported vandalism to their mailbox.

1:09 p.m.: A caller reported trash in the roadway on Svenson Road.

2:15 p.m.: A manager from Subway on Maple Avenue turned in a purse that was left in the restaurant.

8:06 p.m.: A caller from Howe Avenue reported that someone rang her doorbell then left before she could answer the door. An officer checked the area.

8:59 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Boston Turnpike and arrested Richibert R. Alexander, 27, of 12 Mount Vernon St., Apt. 1, Worcester and Israel Gonzalez, 25, of 46 Mendon St., Apt. 1,Worcester. Both men were charged with conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws and possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute.

9:36 p.m.: Two callers reported hearing 5 “loud pops” in the Francis Avenue area.
