Police Calls Include Dead Skunk, Makeup Solicitor

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

11:38 a.m.: A caller from Arbor Drive reported a 16-month old was locked in a motor vehicle. The Fire Department was able to open the car.

3:04 p.m.: A person went to the Police Department to request police send an officer to preserve the peace at an apartment on Hartford Turnpike.

11:01 p.m.: Police requested Animal control remove a dead skunk from the area of 106 Maple Ave.

Thursday, Sept. 26

3:30 p.m.: A caller reported the left turn signal at Boston Turnpike and Lake Street was changing too quickly. Police responded and found no issue.

8:59 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious male lying on the ground in the area of 291 Boston Tpke. The man was moved along.

Friday, Sept. 27

1:35 a.m.: Police spoke to a group of individuals at 100 Boston Tpke. about littering.

2:35 p.m.: A caller said a car was following too closely on Maple Avenue and Boston Turnpike. Police recorded the vehicle's license plate.

4:14 p.m.: Police helped State Police with a rollover crash on I-290. There were no injuries and the vehicles were towed.

Saturday, Sept. 28

12:33 a.m.: Police received a 911 call for a woman being abusive on Colonial Drive. Police took the women into protective custody.

12:23 p.m.: A caller found a pitbull along route 20. Animal Control took the dog to the Animal Rescue League.

3:52 p.m.: A caller advised police of a man being laid out behind a Dumpster at 166 Boston Tpke. Police responded and were unable to locate the man.

5:54 p.m.: A caller reported a man was attempting to sell makeup to women patrons at 539 Boston Tpke. Police responded and removed the man.

10:35 p.m.: Police received multiple 911 calls about gunshots on Avalon Wy. Police were unable to locate.

Sunday, Sept. 29

10:33 a.m.: Police received a call for a man and woman arguing in a motor vehicle on Fyrbeck Avenue. Police responded and were unable to locate the pair.

11:55 a.m.: Police received an anonymous call about constructions workers working in the area of 28 Lakeside Dr. Police responded and spoke to the workers.

2:23 p.m.: Police received a call for a bicycle accident at Main Circle and Main Street.

Monday, Sept. 30

1:57 a.m.: Police received a call for gunshots in the area of Eastern Point Drive. Police responded and checked the area; Worcester had a shooting across the lake.
