Officers Assist Fire Department With Illegal Fire on Main Street

Wednesday, July 17

6:11 p.m.: An officer assisted the Shrewsbury Fire Department with an illegal fire on Main Street at Oakland Avenue. The people at the fire were being “very uncooperative” although the fire was eventually extinguished.

7:19 p.m.: A caller from Edgewater Avenue reported that a person who had previously threatened them was in the area. Officers responded and arrested Elizabeth Noel, 17, of 17 Ridgeland Rd., and charged her with assault and battery.

7:48 p.m.: A caller reported that another male attempted to assault him at the India Café at White City Shopping Center. An officer spoke to everyone involved.

9:20 p.m.: Two vehicles were towed after a crash on Route 9 at Oak Street. Two people were also hospitalized.

9:56 p.m.: The Animal Control Officer removed baby possums from the roadway on Clinton Street and brought them to Tufts.

Thursday, July 18

3:43 p.m.: Officers requested a tow to assist with a jackknifed tractor-trailer Flynn’s Truck Stop.

10:30 p.m.: A caller from Wilder Road reported a person wearing a hoodie running through the area then fleeing in a vehicle.

3:41 a.m.: A caller reported a theft at the Worcester City Motel.
