Man Faces Charges After Soccer Game Assault

The following cases were heard in Westborough District Court.

Monday, Dec. 31

Davis Asare, 21, of 14 Villiage Way, Apt. 2, Webster, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face a charge of assault and battery. Judge Vito Virzi released him on personal recognizance and set a pretrial hearing for Feb. 15. According to a police report, Asare is charged in connection with an incident that occurred during a soccer game at Teamworks. 

Shannon Williams, 17, of 33 Hyder St., Westborough, was arrested by Westborough police and charged with assault and battery. Judge Vito Virzi released Williams on $500 cash bail and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Feb. 7. Williams is accused of assaulting a family member during a domestic dispute.

Cesar Lopez Jr., 27, 25 Beaver Terrace Circle, Apt. 2, Framingham, was arrested by Southborough police and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation. Judge Vito Virzi released him on personal recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Feb. 15.  

Aaron E. Sacks, 22, of 19 Bronte Way, 33E, Marlborough, was arrested by Northborough police and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (second offense), a marked lanes violation, failure to stop or yield, operating with a suspended license and a number plate violation. Judge VIto Virzi released Sacks on $500 cash bail and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Feb. 7. Police arrested Sacks after receiving reports of a red pickup truck covered in snow driving erratically on Route 20.
