K9s Track Two Break-Ins, Assault and Battery Arrest

Thursday, July 11
11:39 a.m.: A resident of Huntington Road went to the Shrewsbury Police Department to report fireworks that had struck his home on July 6.
3:28 p.m.: A car crashed into a utility pole on Main Street. The female driver was transported to the hospital and her car was towed.

5:38 p.m.: The Animal Control Officer rescued an injured goose from Main Street. The goose was taken to Tufts Veterinary Center.
9:38 p.m.: Several fishermen were removed from Lake Quinsigamond near Main Street.

11:46 p.m.: Officers arrested Ashley Shannon, 27, of 3112 Arbor Dr. on warrant charges of probation violation and drunken-driving.
Friday, July 12
12:04 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of an assault on Williamsburg Court. Sarah White, 25, of 46 Bedford Ave., Worcester, was arrested ad charged with assault and battery.
12:04 a.m.: A caller reported a larceny from the parking lot of CVS.
7:52 a.m.: A caller from Prospect Street reported that her house had been egged overnight.
8:36 a.m.: A caller from the Shrewsbury Commons apartments reported vandalism to her car.
12:20 p.m.: Multiple callers reported a crash on Caroline Avenue. One vehicle was towed and at least one person was hospitalized.
12:16 p.m.: A caller from Leslie’s Poolmart reported a larceny by employee.
1:54 p.m.: A caller from Westview Avenue reported that their house had been broken into. A K9 tracked the suspect for half an hour but no suspect was found.
2:15 p.m.: A caller from Boylston Street reported a break-in at their house. A K9 tracked the suspect for 15 minutes but no suspect was caught.
5:18 p.m.: A caller from Avalon Way reported vandalism to her vehicle.
5:57 p.m.: A caller from Lake Street reported that her neighbors’ dog was attacking her chickens.
