A judge dismissed a drug distribution charge against Edward Brouillette, 20, of 85 Commons Dr., Apt. 101, Shrewsbury. Sex-trafficking charges against a Marlborough man who allegedly forced his then-pregnant girlfriend and another woman to perform sex acts for money at a Shrewsbury motel were dismissed because the case is progressing to a higher court. Court records indicate the charges of trafficking persons for sexual servitude and deriving support from the earnings of a prostitute against Anthony O. Maness, 38, of 36 Cross St. Marlborough, were dismissed due to an imminent indictment in Superior Court. The charges stem from an investigation by State Police this summer at the Days Inn in Shrewsbury.
