Alleged Heroin Dealer Ordered Held on $5K Bail

Cases heard yesterday in Westborough District Court also include one featuring a woman who allegedly wrote $19,000 in stolen checks to her husband.

Monday, Oct. 22 

Alexander Santana-Guzman, 33, of 307 Park Ave., Apt. 4, Paterson, N.J., was arrested by Grafton police on charges of distribution of a class A substance, conspiracy to violate drug laws, providing a false name to police and possession of a fall or stolen RMV document. Police said in court documents that Santana-Guzman was arrested Friday morning after an investigation into alleged heroin dealing that involved police from Grafton and Sutton as well as the Blackstone Valley Drug Task  Force. Judge David Locke ordered Santana-Guzman held on $5,000 cash bail or $50,000 surety and set a pretrial hearing for Nov. 14. 

Alexander J. Galanis, 20, of 12 Nelson Way, Mansfield, was arrested by Shrewsbury police on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and using a motor vehicle without authorization. Police allege Galanis fled on foot after a motor vehicle accident that occurred just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Judge David Locke ordered Galanis held on $300 cash bail and set a pretrial hearing for Nov. 15.

Brittany Walsh, 20, of 109 Hamilton St., Apt. 1, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police on a charge of operating with a suspended license. Judge David Locke dismissed the charge upon payment of $100 in court costs. 

Diogo Gomes, 31, of 14 Temple St., Apt. 5B, Framingham, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police to face charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. Police said Gomes was involved in an accident at Route 9 and Otis St. and had earlier been seen by witnesses traveling at more than 55 m.p.h. Judge David Locke set a pretrial hearing for Nov. 14.

Maria L. Winsor, 41, of 123 Providence Rd., Grafton, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Grafton police on a charge of larceny over $250 by a single scheme. Police allege Winsor wrote $19,000 worth of checks to her husband from an account she controlled on behalf of a condominium association. Judge David Locke set a pretrial hearing date for Nov. 29. 

Eric Tabot, 42, of 62 Plantation St., Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police on charges of operating with a suspended license, a marked lanes violation and a state highway signs or signal violation. Judge David Locke set a pretrial hearing for Nov. 15. 

Courtney Slade, 28, of 32 Thomas Norton Dr., Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from the Westborough police department on charges of operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Judge David Locke dismissed the charges upon payment of $300 in court costs. 

George Nantwi, 43, of 32 Puritan Ave., Apt. 1, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Judge David Locke dismissed the charges upon payment of $300 in court costs. 

Brandon J. Miller, 37, of 18 White Pine Dr., Littleton, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Wesborough police to face a charge of larceny over $250. Police charged Miller had taken customer receipts and cash from change machines at the Primrose Car Wash. Judge David Locke dismissed the charges after prosecutors said the alleged victim no longer wished to pursue charges.
