Driving Under the Influence of PCP

The following cases were heard in Westborough District Court.

Thursday, Jan. 3 

Daryl I Green, 39, of 42 Dorchester St., Apt. 3, Worcester, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with operating under the influence of drugs, possession of a class B substance (PCP), a marked lanes violation and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi ordered Green held on $2,500 cash bail or $25,000 surety and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Feb. 8. According to police, Green's vehicle was stopped after being seen driving erratically on Route 20 around 3 a.m. Thursday and he was arrested after officers observed signs of intoxication. 

Paul Southworth, 49, of 21 Kendrick Ave., Greenfield, was arrested by Shrewsbury police and charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. Judge Vito Virzi released Southworth on personal recognizance and scheduled a pretrial hearing for Jan. 10. In an incident that occurred in June, Southworth fled a reported disturbance on Newton St. , hiding from officers in nearby woods while continuing to shout and cause a disturbance for neighbors.

Joy V. McNeil, 32, of 1174 Main St., Apt. 2R, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Westborough police and charged with operating with a suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the first charge upon payment of $100 in court costs and found McNeil not responsible on the uninsured charge.
