Driver Claims Inexperience After Police Chase

The driver failed to stop for a state trooper on Route 290, but eventually pulled over in Shrewsbury.

Massachusetts State Police troopers pursued a vehicle down Route 290 through Shrewsbury. According to scanner reports the pursuit came to a conclusion just after 1 p.m.

According to twitter reports by @alertnewengland, the vehicle was heading westbound on the highway. At one point a helicopter was launched to join the chase, which ended near the Main Street exit in Shrewsbury.

After stopping, the driver reportedly told a trooper that they were inexperienced and "didn't know what all the lights and sirens were for."

It is unclear at this time why the driver was being pulled over in the first place.

The driver did not face any criminal charges.
