911 Caller Reports Cable Outage, Underage Drinker

The following information was provided by the Shrewsbury Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Feb 18

Continuing:  Officers issued parking citations to vehicles on Edgewater Avenue, Plainfield Avenue and Vinnie Way.

1:44 p.m.: An elderly female from Francis Gardens called 911 to report that her cable was out. An officer spoke to her and checked her well being.

2:08 p.m.: An officer spoke to a panhandler near White City Shopping Center and moved them along.

3:30 p.m.: A caller found an older golden retriever named Mabel loose on Minuteman Way. Mabel was reunited with her owner.

6:26 p.m.: A caller from Dean Park Pizza requested assistance with an intoxicated male. The male was taken in to protective custody.

9:01 p.m.: An officer arrested Nancy Harper, 20, of 53 Holden Rd., Sterling at her vehicle on Maple Avenue. Harper was charged with possession of alcohol by a person under 21 and possession of an open container in public.
