What's the Difference What it Costs?

Within a few hundred thousand it's all the same. Repair or replace- each around $13MM. Each will be paid by the townspeople one way or another. And each will raise our taxes about $100 a year. That much is in your change jar by your bed. Unless we close it. But I doubt anyone wants that, even those who oppose a new replacement

So we have to decide what we want. The existing library, no matter how you repair it will still be the old library. Same size. Same weird layout and low ceilings and the kids in the cellar.

A new library on the other hand, will have a third more space.  Larger than the old library with most of the added space going to children and young adults areas.  For reading and learning. I don't think anyone would say our existing library is too big. We need the added space.

As said on the commercial. Everyone knows new is better
