Vote YES on June 3rd.
On June 3rd, Shrewsbury residents will have the opportunity to vote on a $5.5 M override, which includes 1.3 M for municipal services and 4.2 M for the schools. The Board of Selectman voted unanimously to bring this question to the voters because they feel that the town is at a critical point. Our municipal departments are chronically underfunded, and our schools have been downgraded from level 1 to level 2 based on student test performance. A small increase in the tax rate would address the town’s top budget priorities, and Shrewsbury residents would still enjoy one of the lowest tax rates around. Please support Shrewsbury by voting YES on June 3rd.
